CEO Gaurav Oberoi is Outstanding Business Leader Finalist
Afea is named Outstanding Employer of Choice at the 2022 Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence (WSABE), the most prestigious awards program in the Greater Sydney region.
CEO Gaurav Oberoi was also a finalist for Outstanding Business Leader.
In his speech on behalf of Afea Care Services, Gaurav Oberoi thanked the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce as well as award sponsor Wenty Leagues for the recognition.
“We operate to serve the community with our vision to be the most trusted care provider,” he said. “That simply cannot be achieved unless we have the trust for it within the organisation to then flow out and care for each other as we care for the elderly and people with disability.”
He was joined onstage by Afea founder Esha Oberoi; Anita Majstorovic, General Manager, Operations; Anna Lira, Quality & Risk Manager; Joseph Assad, Head of People & Culture; and Pravin Chand, Operations Manager.

The high-profile event was graced by officials (in person or via pre-recorded video) from industry and government, including Dominic Perrottet MP, 46th Premier of New South Wales; David Elliott MP, Minister for Western Sydney; Dr Geoffrey Lee MP, Minister for Corrections and Member for Parramatta; and Romina Bousimon, General Manager of the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce.
WSABE, founded by the Parramatta Chamber of Commerce in 1990, annually recognises outstanding business leaders and organisations who are actively contributing to Western Sydney’s rapidly developing economy.
Across 32 years of operation, WSABE has received more than 5,000 entries for the awards.
