Home Care Packages - Guidelines & Facts - Afea Care Services

What are Home Care Packages?

The Home Care Packages program is an initiative from the Australian Government to help older people interact with the community and remain living independently at home. The program provides a subsidy towards a package of care, services and case management to meet individual needs.

There are four levels of support ranging from basic care to high-level care, each a different subsidy amount that is allocated to you and paid to your provider.

Client Story: Barbara

"I'm so glad I could stay at home and I have a carer who looks after me so well."

Barbara has been an Afea client since 2017. She is, in fact, our very first Home Care Package client!

She welcomed us to her gorgeous apartment in the city to talk about her Afea care team, her daily routine, her "brain games" and her secret to a long and happy life.
