When we ask Grace, our Manila-based Accounts Payable Officer and Valentine’s Day quiz champion, what superpower she would choose to have, she says she doesn’t need one.
“I already have a superpower. I’m a supermum!”
Grace says she can juggle her full-time job and mum duties, thanks to Afea’s support.

Accounts Payable
Grace has been working for more than 10 years in accounts, but there is a lot more to learn in the NDIS. “With lots of support items that need to be recognised and identified! We need to utilise correctly the funding of the client.”
“From time to time, we answer queries from Plan Management. External queries are from the providers, support coordinators and some are from clients.”
Great privilege
“It’s a great privilege working overseas,” she shares. “You don’t need to go to the other country just to work with their company.”
As a mum, flexible time is important to her. At the end of the workday, she has “to do house chores and all, prepare our food for the next day and take care of my son as well.”
She’s no stranger to hard work. When her father passed away while she was in college, she worked as a cashier at a fast-food restaurant to help her mother with daily expenses.
“My friends ask me, How do I manage being a mum and a working mum? Afea gives me a privilege in flexible time. Very lucky to be in a work from home set up because I can manage being a mum.
Though she lives miles away, Grace says the Afea team never fail to surprise her during her birthday, with Ranila, Laura and Logi sending her a bouquet of flowers and a cake.
