March 24th 2023

Afea is expanding its services to become a Melbourne care provider, bringing us closer to participants living in Victoria.

We have been proudly supporting the community for 15 years from our headquarters in Sydney, with our Plan Management and Support Coordination services available across Australia.

Now we are more than thrilled to increase our impact and provide in-home and community support to participants based in Melbourne.

Our Services

We’re proud to empower the lives of others through the delivery of compassionate care.

As an Afea client, you will have ongoing support from a dedicated Client Coordinator, who will match you with a support worker best suited to your needs and goals.

We provide:

Complex Care

We assist clients with higher level needs due to disability or chronic conditions such as acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, diabetes, epilepsy and other physical and neurological ailments.

Our skilled and compassionate Carers and Registered Nurses can provide a wide range of services, including PEG feeding and management, enteral feeding and management, manual handling, complex bowel care and more.

Domestic Assistance

We’ll lend a helping hand to keep your home tidy and neat. We will assist you with light housekeeping tasks so you can spend more time on your hobbies or welcoming friends to your home.

Shopping and Meal Preparation

Getting nourishment from regular meals is key to your health and overall well-being, but lack of energy, motivation or accessible shopping options may be getting in the way. Our Afea Carers can provide meal assistance, from shopping for ingredients to cleaning up in the kitchen, so you can continue to enjoy your favourite dishes.

Social and Community Access

Connecting with social and community activities for recreation, work or study is an integral part of a fun and fulfilling life. You may be able to enjoy some activities independently, but if you require assistance, Afea Carers are here to help!

Personal Care

We can assist you with all aspects of personal care, such as hygiene, dressing, toileting or the use of aids, devices and appliances. Afea Carers will take careful consideration of your daily routines and personal preferences, ensuring that our support enables your independence and comfort in your own home.

Mental Health Support

If you are living with depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions that make daily life challenging, our Carers are here to lend a hand.

Our qualified and compassionate Carers can provide mental health support, assisting you with daily activities and encouraging connections within your local community.

We can support you to overcome isolation, reduce loneliness, build confidence, develop relationships, participate in activities, and connect with family, friends, community and employment.
