Temporary price limit increases for core supports | Afea Care Services
January 6th 2022

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has introduced temporary price limit increases for some core supports. This is to account for the additional costs related to the evolving COVID situation.

Core Supports is the NDIS funding category that helps NDIS participants with everyday activities and current disability-related needs.

The following price limit increases will apply from 1 January until 30 June 2022:

  • 0.25% increase for community participation supports and supports with activities of daily living
  • 0.4% increase for group core supports and Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Providing PPE to our carers

The NDIA is putting this temporary increase in place in recognition that providers across Australia continue to supply support workers with personal protective equipment (PPE).

The price increases replace the alternative billing arrangements for support worker PPE, which ended on 31 December 2021.

Afea proudly provides all carers and office staff with PPE such as face masks and hand sanitiser. The use of PPE is a necessary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as we provide care to vulnerable populations. The health and safety of our carers, office staff and clients will always be our first priority.

Updated NDIS price guide

In accordance with our clients’ Services Agreement, Afea Care Services will be charging based on the price limits specified in the current NDIS Price Guide. You can view our simplified price guide below.
