Say hello to Sue! In her role as Plan Manager, Sue helps our clients keep track of their NDIS funding so they can focus on kicking goals.
Sue found Afea after a moment of self-reflection during the pandemic lockdown. She now finds her work very rewarding and is proud of the service Afea provides to the community.

When did you first join Afea?
I joined Afea as a Plan Coordinator in December 2021.
Why did you choose to join the company?
At the time we were coming out of lockdown, the pandemic had given me a lot of time to self-reflect. I decided I wanted a career change and moved to the health sector to pursue a more fulfilling career that I hoped would help me feel more content with my life.
I heard about Afea through a friend, which led to me carrying out my own research of the company. I discovered that the Afean values resonated very closely with my personal values. This made me want to be a part of such an amazing company that offers such invaluable service to the community.
What’s the best thing about the company?
At Afea, I am able to express myself on a day-to-day basis working collaboratively with my colleagues. My work feels extremely fulfilling and allows me to interact as well as learn about the community around me.
I feel content because my work is very rewarding. I can help clients and stakeholders feel comfortable and understood when reaching out to Afea for our service, which is a very gratifying experience.
This sense of community is reflected throughout the management of the company, especially with the compassionate nature of the work being carried out each day for the betterment of the community.
What is your proudest moment at Afea?
My proudest moment at Afea is not one moment, rather I feel it every day when I’m able to deliver an amazing service to our clients.

Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Invisibility!
Where is your dream vacation destination?
Egypt, as I’ve always had a fascination with the history surrounding its ancient civilisation, such as the construction of the great pyramids and the cultivation of society around the river Nile.
