About the role:

We’re seeking a creative and organised Marketing and Events Officer to join our team in Parramatta. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who is a great team player but also enjoys working autonomously. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will play a crucial role in raising brand awareness within broader communities and enhancing engagement with key stakeholders (our clients, carers, office staff and alliance partners).

  • Coordinating all internal and external events and opportunities to raise Afea’s brand awareness.
  • Developing, planning and executing consistent engagement calendar for clients, cares and alliance partners.
  • Collaborating with different functions to ensure seamless event execution and consistent brand awareness.
  • Monitoring and analyzing event performance and marketing campaigns providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assisting in monitoring Afea’s online community, responding to comments and queries.

You’ll absolutely thrive if…

  • Planning events and activities sparks joy within you
  • You think ahead and always have a plan B (and usually a plan C too)
  • Ad-hoc requests and last-minute changes don’t phase you
  • You’re a people person. You actually enjoy meeting new people
  • You appreciate and champion excellent branding
  • You don’t mind a bit of grunt work like admin and bumping in expos

Your typical work week

The majority of your time would be spent focusing on developing and planning event calendars for different business functions and audiences. On any given day, you could be:

  • Executing your meticulous plans by implementing events and activities that raise Afea’s brand awareness, increase engagement and/or generate enquiries
  • Managing expos and tradeshows, including bookings, paperwork, budgeting and briefing rostered staff on expectations and logistics
  • Collaborating with the sales team to organise unique and educational networking events
  • Liaising with our services team to roll out fortnightly Coffee Carer Catch-ups
  • Meeting with accommodation clients to get to know them and plan activities based on their hobbies and interests
  • Supporting the P&C team to drive staff engagement activities
  • Monitoring inventory of branded merchandise and collateral; sourcing and ordering stock as required
  • Contributing to social media content with behind-the-scenes photos and videos at your events

The essentials

  • Previous experience in event coordination/management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and branding
  • Current Driver’s license as regular travel is required.
