Afea launches Financial Wellbeing Program - Afea Care Services
August 1st 2023

At Afea, we consider our people’s overall wellbeing – their physical, mental, emotional and financial health.

We are proud to announce that we have partnered with Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank) to offer Afea staff and carers access to a Financial Wellbeing Program.

“This is part of our ongoing commitment to support our employee’s overall wellbeing, going beyond physical or mental health,” Afea Head of People & Culture Joseph Assad said.

“Evidence shows that those who are under financial stress are far more likely to experience a significant deterioration in their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. We’re launching this program to tell all Afeans that we’re here to help them in these challenging economic conditions.”

The Financial Wellbeing Program provides Afea staff and carers access to the following:

Personalised Financial Health Checks

Afea staff and carers who are looking to purchase a property, consolidate your debt or simply review their banking can register to chat directly with a CommBank specialist.

Financial Wellbeing Education

An array of face-to-face workshops and online sessions to provide tips on budgeting, managing debt and other ways to improve financial literacy.

Workplace Banking Website

A portal providing easy access to banking and lifestyle benefits, including discounts for travel, health, sports, entertainment and retail.

Afea launched the program on 1 August, with Workplace Banking Manager Carrolyn Jenssen providing an overview of the program and answering questions from attendees.
