Say hello to our Workforce Coordinator, Taylor!

She originally joined us as Care Concierge at our Liverpool office before transitioning to her current role to support our carers.

Her proudest moment at Afea was her “continuous growth that I’ve had personally, but also professionally.”

“I’ve never experienced this in any other workplace before. Even for me to just be comfortable at work, and not be so riddled with anxiety around management – for me to be myself is such a massive progression for me.”

According to her, this is thanks to the genuine love and support she receives from her team.

Taylor is also a fully qualified makeup artist, with a Certificate III in Makeup Artistry under her belt. Very evident in her stunning looks!

Tell us about your background. Why did you choose to work in this industry?

I started in Afea as concierge and would help our Coordinators Aditi and Kriti find carers for their clients, in between taking calls.

A few months in I was offered the Workforce Coordinator role, and I absolutely love it!

Prior to Afea, I worked as a receptionist in a law firm, and before that I worked in a fast food restaurant. I think I’ve always loved helping people, but never found a deeper purpose in my other roles. At Afea, I have the privilege of waking up and going to work every day knowing I make a difference.

How did you find out about Afea?

As soon as I saw the ad posted that Afea was hiring for a concierge, I was intrigued. I thought “you know what, I reckon I could work in this industry, I love helping people.” Once I started researching the company, I knew I had to work here.

What’s the best thing about the company?

I work with the most amazing team. I feel so blessed to have this amount of support and genuine love around me every day in the workplace.

What is your proudest moment so far at Afea?

My proudest moment would have to be my early transition from concierge to the Workforce Coordinator role.

I have learnt so much from my team and Team Leader. They have helped me to develop useful skills I can use in the long term (as I’m still only in my early 20s and have a long way to go!). They also helped my personal development: I barely recognise myself now, and it’s all been for the better!

Tell us something that most people don’t know about you.

I’m a creative person. I’m a fully qualified makeup artist, after I left school, I got my Certificate III in Makeup Artistry. I have a burning passion for the arts, I love to paint, write, sing and dance.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

If I could choose any superpower it would probably be to be able to stop (or freeze) time? Think about it, you can take your time getting to work, I can apply a full face without having to rush out the door to go out. I reckon that would be my best bet.
