A Spotlight on our Services Team Leader, Vayini | Afea Care Services
January 19th 2022

At Afea, we encourage the growth of our staff and carers and acknowledge their achievements! Our Anniversary Bonus scheme, where we award employees a bonus on each work anniversary, got us on the AFR BOSS Best Places to Work list. We also hand out multiple quarterly and annual awards, where Afeans are nominated by fellow Afeans and are recognised for going above and beyond for our clients and carers.

One of our Services Team Leaders, Vayini, has been awarded Employee of the Year for 2021! As Services Team Leader for our South East services, Vayini oversees several Care Coordinators and ensures our clients receive the highest level of care suited to their needs.

Learn more about Vayini in this short interview.

When did you first join Afea and in what role?

I first joined as Care Coordinator in July 2018. I went away on maternity leave in 2019 and returned in October 2020.

What led you to Afea?

My passion has always been to help vulnerable people in the community and make a difference in their lives, and my work at Afea gives me an opportunity to do so.

What is your proudest moment at Afea as a Services Team Leader?

My hard work is being recognised – I have just been awarded Employee of the Year!

Vayini previously won Employee of the Month; here she receives her award from Afea Care Services CEO, Esha Oberoi.

What’s your favourite thing about the company?

The people and our culture of togetherness!

Afea is growing exponentially year by year and I am very fortunate to be a part of this growth. I am happy to be surrounded by wonderful people who have always been supportive.
