People with ongoing health concerns and care requirements are often looked after by a family member or loved one. At Afea, we understand the strain this can put on a particular individual, as they need time to take care of themselves as well. Respite Care can be a refreshing change, allowing family members to take a little breather to deal with their own personal needs.
Afea’s highly qualified nurses and care staff can assist clients who require medical support such as wound dressing, medication assistance, injury management, speech pathology and physiotherapy. Overnight care is available for those who need bathing and dressing. We can also help with daily tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, pet care and light maintenance.
Our nurses can monitor client needs around the clock, allowing family carers to take much needed respite breaks.
We aim to provide the level of attention and care that your loved ones usually provide. Suitable for elderly clients, clients with disabilities and new mothers requiring child care or help around the house, our respite services can be delivered as needed, or on an ongoing basis.
Let our respite care offerings give your carers a much deserved break.

What our clients are saying
I’m very grateful to Afea for providing us with such great respite workers. Despite very short notice at times, the Afea team always blow me away with the prompt, friendly and professional manner in which they conduct their work. I can highly recommend Afea to anyone in need of care.Anne Pab, Respite services
Due to a last minute work-related travel engagement, I had to look for suitable Respite services for my elderly mother. A friend suggested I contact Afea. I had a very pleasant experience with one of the consultants there. She was very helpful, explaining exactly what services I needed to organise. A meeting with a carer was arranged and immediately I was impressed. She was well presented, polite and able to answer all my questions. This gave me the peace-of-mind I needed. My mother kept on saying how much she loves the staff at Afea.Yumi Roberts, Respite services
